I´m afraid it´s true – her daughter Bonnie published it on her Facebook page: Bea is gone forever….

30s Photo. Style and class was evident in both her voice and looks. The voice was silenced forever on August 19th…
As you, my readers, know – I was a big fan of Bea, she was just AWEsome! I really appreciated all the nice messages coming in after I had written about Bea. I know that you all will also share the loss…
With Bea´s passing, the era of the classic American pop-jazz singer is effectively over.
I can only think of one more singer who made records in the 1930s who is still around: The UK´s Vera Lynn.
Rest in Peace, Bea. Love, Stian

Dear Stian,
God rest her soul. Bea’s records I inherited from my father are doubly special now.
Thank you for this forum and your tribute, and to all the contributors as well.
God bless,
Rich

Hi Rich! If you have records inherited from your father, they must be a treasure. Enjoy them, and enjoy all the musical memories left behind by the great Bea Wain. (And thanks for the compliment!)
Best wishes, Stian

So sad to hear of Bea’s passing. Truly the end of an era in music. Happened on my 64th BD. 😦
RIP Bea.

I continue to listen to all your music Bea!!!!! I enjoy seeing the video of your performance in Palm Springs in 1983…I believe I have played My Reverie more times then any person….Anyway, I would have given anything to see you perform or meet in person…Thank you for talking with me on the telephone and having a few conversations! You will always be the best and are surely missed…
